How Do I Apply?
1. Complete the online application form on this website.
2. Send the below listed documents through Google Drive
2.1 Supporting Documents
Scan the following documents as a single PDF file and submit through Google Drive (see Section 3 below for instructions). Please do not submit these as separate PDF files.
a. Proof of full-time registration for the 2016-2017 academic year at a post-secondary institution.
b. Official transcripts - for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic years from all former and current post-secondary institutions (whether a degree was granted or not) or high school.
c. 2 to 3 reference letters - one reference letter from your school is mandatory, and one letter from your place of employment and/or one letter from your volunteer/leadership organization would be ideal. Reference letters must be from people that have direct knowledge of your character, ability, attitude, potential and future aspirations. Reference letters from family, friends and relatives are not appropriate and will not be considered.
d. Resume (maximum 2 pages) - outline your education, work experience, extra-curricular activities and other accomplishments.
Download the essay question form, and submit the completed form through Google Drive (see Section 3 below instructions).
Submit one (1) digital photograph of yourself taken within the past 6 months, through Google Drive (see Section 3 below for instructions).We strongly recommend that your photo show your shoulders to the top of your head and facing the front. Please send it in .jpeg format.The photograph will be used for record keeping and promotional purposes only, and will not be used for the purposes of evaluating the scholarship application.
3. Google Drive
3.1 If you do not already have a gmail or other google account, please create one.
3.2 From your account, go to Google Drive.
3.3 On ‘My Drive’, create a folder called “KCSF 2016-2017 Scholarship Application: [Enter your last name], [Enter your first name]”.
3.4 In that folder, upload the PDF file of the supporting documents, completed essay form and photo as specified in Sections 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 above.
3.5 Share the folder with firstname.lastname@example.org, and pick ‘Can edit’ in the drop-down menu to the right.
3.6 You must ensure that the folder remains shared with email@example.com until the announcement of the award recipients in spring of 2017. Do not delete the folder until this time. Once the folder is deleted or no longer shared, the Selection Committee may lose its access to the folder.
