Steering Committee is a group of talented, passionate young professionals who will work with the board of directors or lead projects themselves in all efforts that align with KCSF’s vision of helping Korean Canadian students achieve their potential either through scholarships or proactive programming (leadership, mentoring, networking) and to serve the Korean Canadian community as a whole, working with and for young professionals and established professionals as well, helping building relationships and networks that will have a positive impact on the whole of the Korean Canadian community.
What We Do
Steering Committee members provide operational support such as external/community relations, creating and distributing promo material for stakeholders, leading and/or supporting special projects, planning meaningful events, and even joining the scholarship selection committee as one of the judges. Though each of us have specific roles within the team, we are also encouraged to take part in other initiatives and roles within KCSF, which we hope will not only add to the organization but add to your learning experience as well. We also hope to become a close knit group who will have a positive experience volunteering together. We are fueled by dedicated volunteers who are talented young professionals from diverse professional backgrounds such as healthcare, law, government, higher education, real estate, public relations, donor relations, event management, communications, finance, arts, etc. We are passionate about building a strong Korean-Canadian community through investing in the current and future leaders to excel in their fields, make use of rich networks and resources, and go on to lead others.
