KCSF scholarships recognize students with a wide range of accomplishments, experiences, interests, and aspirations. All applicants must meet KCSF's general eligibility requirements. Individual scholarships may have additional requirements based on year of study, academic achievement, financial circumstances, field of study, leadership, community involvement, or other criteria.
You do not need to select a single scholarship when you apply. By submitting a KCSF Scholarship Application, you will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible. Please note that the scholarships available each year may vary based on available funding.
Awards of Excellence
Donald Choi Canada Award of Excellence for First Year Undergraduates
Award Amount: $30,000
The Donald Choi Canada Award of Excellence is one of KCSF's most prestigious scholarships. This is a four-year scholarship for first-year undergraduate students. A total of $30,000 is awarded, with $7,500 being awarded at the end of each school year. One Donald Choi Canada Award of Excellence may be awarded each year.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time during the 2026-2027 academic year and must be in their first year of post-secondary studies at an accredited post-secondary school.
The recipient must maintain a minimum academic average (i.e., GPA) of A (equivalent) for each completed year, for a maximum of four years, in order to fulfill the requirements to receive subsequent installments of the scholarship award. If the minimum GPA is not achieved, the recipient will forfeit the award for that year and any subsequent years.
Chung/Banz Achievement & Opportunity Award
Award Amount = $5,000
The Chung/Banz Achievement & Opportunity Award recognizes hardworking post-secondary students who have demonstrated academic commitment, perseverance, strong character, and future potential while navigating financial hardship, family responsibilities, personal adversity, or other significant barriers. This scholarship supports students from low-income households who demonstrate academic achievement and for whom financial support can help expand their educational opportunities and future potential.
Special Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate financial eligibility;
Applicants must have a minimum B+ equivalent academic average; and
Financial need and academic requirement are eligibility thresholds. Among applicants who qualify, recipients will be competitively evaluated on merit rather than who demonstrates the greatest financial need or has the highest grades.
Yun Back Kim Family Foundation Award of Excellence
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by the Yun Back Kim Family Foundation, this award supports students pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Preference may be given to students attending George Brown College. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and future leadership within the engineering profession.
Engineering, Science, and Technology Scholarships
Byung Kuk Kim Memorial Scholarship for First Year Undergraduates
Award Amount: $10,000
The Byung Kuk Kim Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing studies in engineering. Established in memory of Byung Kuk Kim, the award recognizes academic excellence and encourages future innovation and leadership in engineering fields. This is a four-year scholarship. A total of $10,000 is awarded, with $2,500 being awarded at the end of each school year. One Byung Kuk Kim Memorial Scholarship may be awarded each year.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time during the 2026-2027 academic year and must be in their first year of an Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary school.
The recipient must remain in the Engineering program and maintain a minimum academic average (i.e., GPA) of B (or equivalent) for each completed year, for a maximum of four years, in order to fulfill the requirements to receive subsequent installments of the scholarship award. If the minimum GPA is not achieved, the recipient will forfeit the award for that year and any subsequent years.
Nam Soo Kim Family Scholarship for First Year Undergraduates
Award Amount: $10,000
The Nam Soo Kim Family Scholarship supports students pursuing studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and related disciplines. The award recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the rapidly evolving technology sector.
This is a renewable scholarship, with $2,500 awarded at the end of each school year. The recipient may be eligible to receive up to $10,000 over 4 years. One Nam Soo Kim Family Scholarship may be awarded each year. Applicants must be enrolled full-time during the 2025-2026 academic year and must be in their first year of Computer Science, Information Technology, or Artificial Intelligence program at an accredited post-secondary school. Preference will be given to students from the University of Toronto (but students from other universities are eligible to apply).
The recipient must remain in the Computer Science, Information Technology, or Artificial Intelligence program and maintain a minimum academic average (i.e., GPA) of B (equivalent) for each completed year, for a maximum of four years, in order to fulfill the requirements to renew the scholarship award. If the minimum GPA is not achieved, the recipient will forfeit the award for that year and any subsequent years.
In Suh Lee Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in Atomic Energy Engineering at the University of Toronto. Established to support future leaders in advanced engineering and energy innovation, the award recognizes academic dedication and achievement in this specialized field.
Pil-Kyu Chang Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
The Pil-Kyu Chang Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing studies in Education or the Sciences, including disciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, and related fields. The scholarship honours academic excellence and a commitment to advancing knowledge and learning.
Pacific High Tech Ltd. Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by Pacific High Tech Ltd., this scholarship supports students pursuing Chemical Engineering studies at the University of Toronto or the University of Waterloo. Preference may be given to female applicants. The award recognizes future leaders in engineering and innovation.
Hahn Family Endowment Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established through the generosity of the Hahn Family Endowment, this scholarship supports deserving students pursuing post-secondary education. The award recognizes academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. Candidates should have a focus on the overall area related to real estate (building, selling, management). This can be as general as architecture, interior design, or engineering such as electrical or mechanical.

KEB Hana Bank Canada Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by KEB Hana Bank Canada, this scholarship supports students pursuing studies in Business, Commerce, or related disciplines. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and an interest in contributing to the business community.
Leadership and Community Impact Scholarships
Sung and Hae Kim Scholarship for Upper Year Students
Award Amount: $10,000
The Sung and Hae Kim Scholarship is one of KCSF's premier awards and supports outstanding students from all fields of study. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to community service.
Park Family Foundation Leadership Award for Upper Year Students
Award Amount: $5,000
The Park Family Foundation Leadership Award recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional initiative, leadership, and the ability to positively influence their communities. The award celebrates emerging leaders whose actions reflect a commitment to service, innovation, and community-building.
Hakyoo Park Humanitarian Award for Upper Year Students
Award Amount: $5,000
The Hakyoo Park Humanitarian Award honours students who have demonstrated a significant commitment to serving others through humanitarian, charitable, religious, or community-based work. The scholarship recognizes compassion, service, and leadership in addressing community needs.
Faith and Religious Studies Scholarships
Hyecho (Kyoung Ok Lee) Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
This scholarship supports students engaged in the study or practice of Buddhism. Established by Kyoung Ok Lee, the award recognizes academic achievement alongside a commitment to Buddhist values, learning, and community engagement.
Myung Soo Chung Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
The Myung Soo Chung Scholarship supports students pursuing religious studies or demonstrating meaningful involvement in church and faith-based communities. The award recognizes leadership, service, and commitment to spiritual growth and community engagement.
Arts, Culture, and Creative Expression Scholarships
Dongwoo Cultural Association Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by the Dongwoo Cultural Association, this scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to strengthening community and cultural connections.
Hyeil Noh Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
The Hyeil Noh Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing studies in Music. The award recognizes artistic talent, dedication to musical excellence, and the potential to contribute to Canada's cultural landscape.
Women in Media, Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
This scholarship supports female students pursuing studies in Media, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, or related disciplines. The award recognizes artistic achievement, creativity, and demonstrated engagement in the arts.
Graduate Studies and Women's Leadership Scholarships
Ewha Womans University Alumnae Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by the Ewha Womans University Alumnae Association, this scholarship supports female students pursuing Master's or doctoral studies. The award recognizes leadership, community involvement, academic achievement, and a commitment to advancing positive change through scholarship and service.

Pan Asia Food Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by Pan Asia Food, this scholarship supports promising students pursuing post-secondary education and recognizes achievement both inside and outside the classroom.
P.A.T. Supermarket – Sun Ok Lee Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by P.A.T. Supermarket and Sun Ok Lee, this scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community.
Yu-An Farms Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
The Yu-An Farms Scholarship supports deserving students pursuing post-secondary studies and recognizes academic excellence and future potential.
Ewha Girls High School Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Established by the Ewha Girls High School community, this scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth and community engagement.
In Sik Moon Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
The In Sik Moon Scholarship supports students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership potential, and service to their communities.
Wang Food Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500

Dr. F. Schofield Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Awarded at the discretion of the University of Guelph, the Dr. F. Schofield Memorial Scholarship honours the legacy of Dr. Frank W. Schofield, whose contributions to both Korea and Canada continue to inspire future generations. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and service.
